Biography
I am a research fellow at the Institute of Aquatic Ecology, Centre for Ecological Research, Budapest. I graduated as a physicist in 2010. Then, I started to study the vision of horseflies, and I was also involved in the development of light polarization based horsefly traps. I received my PhD in 2014. My research mainly focuses on the visual ecology of insects, although I had significant roles in abiotic researches such as the development of polarization-based cloud detection algorithms. The results I usually obtain from behavioural and electrophysiological experiments are often utilized in nature conservation and in the development of optical-based pest management methods.
