I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centro Interuniversitário de História das Ciências e da Tecnologia (CIUHCT) at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, Portugal. My research interests include the history of science in Portugal, the history of Jesuit science, and the history of book censorship. In the past few years, I have been working with Henrique Leitão in the publication of the selected works of the notable Portuguese geneticist Luís Archer S.J. (1926-2011). The first volume was published in 2015, and we expect to conclude this project in the next few months. Currently, most of my time is spent on a project on the circulation and censorship of scientific books in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. I am also a member of the editorial board of the Jesuit learned journal Brotéria since 2013.
