I am an independent researcher and consultant, specialising in collecting and analysing evidence and examples of effective (and ineffective) uses of digital games in education, teaching and learning. Work has been carried out for clients in the education, public and private sectors (many being repeat clients) since May 2001; currently, I am based in England (UK).
My background is a combination of information science, statistics, operational research and EdTech (educational technology). Because of this combination, I'm oft happiest with a stack of fresh systematic reviews concerning games in education to read through. Ironically, because of work and travel, I don't spend as much time as I used to, or want to, playing games themselves.
This ORCID profile lists some of my works and output concerning games, virtual worlds and information science. Works associated with other subject domains, or carried out under an NDA, are not listed.
