Biography

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ORCID ID is incomplete. I am working on it. See my website for more information: www.drJoyAJHoward.com My email address is: [email protected] I was born and raised in Michigan. Now living in the mid-Atlantic and absolutely loving it. Hello Philly, NYC, Jersey City...what's not to love?!?! I'm an avid letter writer. My grandma taught me how to quilt & crochet. I love a good cup of coffee, but I'm also terribly fond of homemade Tennessee sweet iced tea. I am a tenure track Assistant Professor at NJCU in Jersey City. I was a fellow of the First Book Institute at Penn State in June 2014. I held the Upton Foundation Fellowship for American History and Studies at the University of Michigan Clements Library for the Fall semester of 2014.
