Dr. Gleb Tsipursky runs a nonprofit that helps people reach their goals using science to build an altruistic and flourishing world, Intentional Insights ( He is the author of the best-selling Find Your Purpose Using Science (2015) and other books. He regularly publishes pieces in prominent venues such as TIME, Salon, Psychology Today, The Huffington Post, Lifehack, Elite Daily, Lead Change Group, The Plain Dealer, Alternet, Sun-Sentinel, Buffalo News, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Inside Higher Ed, The Conversation, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and elsewhere. His work has been featured in The Columbus Dispatch, The Humanist Hour, The Newark Advocate, Reason Cinema, The Examiner, The Purpose Revolution, Skeptical Inquirer, and elsewhere. He focuses on popularizing science-based strategies to help people feel and think better based on recent discoveries in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, medicine, and other fields. To do so, he draws on his expertise as a historian of science working at the intersection of history, psychology, and cognitive neuroscience. He is a tenure-track professor at Ohio State and a member of the Decision Sciences Collaborative there, where he researches emotions, decision-making, meaning and purpose, agency and conformism, community, youth, social control, fun and leisure, and civic engagement in historical contexts.
