Personal information

Biography

I was born in September 1982 in Doboj (Bosnia and Herzegovina), where I lived until third grade. Thereafter, I continued my primary and middle school education in Germany.

I received my Bachelor's and Master's degree in physics education at the University of Sarajevo.

Today, I am a full professor at the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Science.
I hold a Ph.D. in Didactics of physics from the University of Sarajevo.

My research has been mainly in the field of modeling and evaluating the psychometric characteristics of physics test items. I have published research articles in leading physics education research journals, including Physical Review PER, International Journal of Science Education, Canadian Journal of Physics, European Journal of Physics, Research in Science & Technological Education, Physics Teacher, Physics Education etc.
I serve as a referee in Physical Review ST-PER, European Journal of Physics, Zeitschrift für Didaktik der Naturwissenschaften, European Journal of Science and Mathematics Education, Journal of Turkish Science Education, Croatian Journal of Education and Methodical Review: journal of philosophy of education. In 2022, I received the Institute of Physics trusted reviewer status and in 2023 I received the prestigious American Physical Society Outstanding referee status.

I speak Bosnian, German and English.
