Raúl J. Martín-Palma is Professor of Physics at the Department of Applied Physics of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Adjunct Professor at the Pennsylvania State University’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He received his MS Degree in applied physics in 1995 and his PhD in physics in 2000, both from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He has been Post-Doctoral Fellow at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Visiting Professor at the Pennsylvania State University.
He has received several awards for young scientists for his research on nanostructured materials from the Materials Research Society, European Materials Research Society, and Spanish Society of Materials. He serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Nanophotonics and is a Fellow of SPIE.
