Duncan is currently Academic Liaison Librarian at Glasgow School of Art, where his role includes the provision of training and workshops to readers, supporting research activity, collection development and management, and the development of online service delivery. In particular, he is interested in the application of new technologies to the learning and teaching process. Recently he launched InfosmART, the GSA’s innovative suite of information skills tutorials for undergraduates, postgraduates and researchers in art and design. Duncan is a past recipient of the Outstanding Library Team at the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards, and the Information Literacy Practitioner of the Year Award. Duncan has held a number of roles in the HE, FE, charity and museums sectors, having worked as Digital Librarian at City of Glasgow College, Digitisation Manager at the Scottish Civic Trust, and at the National Portrait Gallery Archive and London School of Economics Library.
