Biography

I was born in Faro on 1984 and I am a coastal geomatics researcher, presently working at the Centre for Marine and Environmental Research (CIMA) of University of Algarve (Faro, Portugal), under a scientific research grant, on MOSES project (Moving Sands - Equilibrium State of Crenulated Coasts PTDC/GEO-GEO/3981/2012). This project proposes an innovator and unexplored approach to trace the alongshore drift as induced by waves and currents that consists in using acoustic techniques coupled with the more traditional approach of marked sands and digital image processing to quantify the amount of sediment crossing the shore.
