Personal Information


Dr. Rihan has got his B.Sc degree in Mathematics from Alexandria University (Egypt) in 1986. He was appointed as an instructor in the department of Mathematics at Helwan University. He has received the M.Sc. from Helwan University in 1991 (in Numerical Analysis). In 1996, Dr Rihan has a scholarship to study the PhD from the University of Manchester (UK) in the filed of ”Numerical Treatments of Delay Differential Equations in Biosciences”. In 2000, after receiving the PhD degree, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Helwan University. He was then promoted to Associate Professor in 2006, and to a full professor of Mathematics in 2011. During studying the PhD in Manchester, Dr Rihan was working as an instructor at Manchester University. From 2001-2002, he also worked as Post Doctor Research Associate in Manchester University (UK) and from 2003-2005, as Senior Scientist at Salford University (UK). Dr Rihan is currently working as Associate Professor of Mathematics at the United Arab Emirates University, UAE. Dr Rihan supervised many M.Sc and PhD students, in the fields of Numerical analysis, and Biomathematics. He is a member and reviewer in many international societies and journals. Dr Rihan is currently the PI of NRF and EF projects (UAE).
