Biography

I'm an archaeologist working at the Côa Museum (www.arte-coa.pt) where I coordinated the Conservation Program of the Côa Valley open-air rock-art complex, co-coordinate the Educational Services at the Museum and manage the Museum's presence in so-called social networks: Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and TripAdvisor. My formal education includes a Bachelor's degree in History - Archaeology variant by the Faculty of Arts, University of Coimbra, a Master's in Management of Archaeological Sites by the Institute of Archaeology, University College London submitting a thesis on management of visits to the Coa Valley rock-art sites and a PhD in Archaeology by the School of Applied Sciences, Bournemouth University (UK) presenting a thesis on the conservation of the Côa Valley rock-art. My research interests are mainly focused on open-air rock-art management and conservation, education in museum environments, and museum and archaeology public communication strategies within social network platforms.
