Biography

Dr Shouyun Yu obtained his B. S. in Chemistry from Nanjing University in 2001. After completing doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Dawei Ma in 2006 at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC) in Shanghai, China, he worked as an assistant research professor in the same institute for one more year. Then he moved to Jeffrey W. Bode group at University of Pennsylvania (Now at ETH, Switzerland) as a postdoctoral research fellow in late 2007. After two and a half years, he moved back to SIOC. In Sep., 2010, he was appointed as an associate professor of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Nanjing University. He is currently a full professor in the same university. His current research focuses photochemistry, radical chemistry, asymmetric synthesis and their applications in synthesis of biologically important molecules.
