Giacomo Del Chiappa received a Ph.D in Marketing and Business Administration” at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Milan-Bicocca (Italy). He was Visiting Scholar at the University of Melbourne (Australia). He is currently Assistant Professor in Marketing at the University of Sassari (Italy) where he teach teaches in the areas of “Tourism Management and Marketing” and “Destination Management” for the Degree in Tourism Marketing and Management. He has several international teaching experiences as visiting professor. He is a member of the editorial board of the journals Tourism Analysis, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Anatolia: An International Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Research, Journal of Hospitality Marketing and Management, Journal of Destination Marketing and Management and Tourism review. He acts as referee for several international journals and Member of the Scientific committee of ENTER conference. He is Senior Research Fellow, School of Tourism & Hospitality, University of Johannesburg (South Africa) and expert for the project “Réseau de veille en tourisme” – Université du Québec a Montréal. His research topics are related to destination governance and branding, consumer behavior and digital marketing.
