Rene is an associate professor at Delft University of Technology, Aerospace Engineering, with the section Control and Simulation. His work on human-machine interaction ranges from manual control, haptic interfaces, cybernetics and perception of motion and visual stimuli, to supervisory control, Cognitive Systems Engineering and Ecological Interface Design. His application areas are flight deck interface design, design of interfaces for air traffic management, haptic interfacing for vehicles (cars) and teleoperation robotics. René also works on real-time computing and flight simulation.
