Biography

Sajjad Rezaei was born in 1983 in northern Iran, he completed his education from elementary to high school in Rasht city. In September 2002, after passing the University entrance examination, he was accepted in the field of psychology. Since then, he completed his bachelor and master studies at the University of Guilan. At the end of his postgraduate studies, he was recognized as the top talented research student in this university (Nov 2010) and in the light of his remarkable research activities and publishing several articles, especially on neuropsychological consequences of brain injuries and head trauma, he received a Ph.D scholarship from the Ministry of Sciences, Research, and Technology of Iran (March 2014). To pursue his studies at the Ph.D level, he went to the University of Isfahan. Ranked second among those interviewed in September 2011, he began his higher education studies. While studying, he cooperated with Guilan Road Trauma Research Center (www.GTRC.ir) and Clinical Research Development Unit at the Guilan University of Medical Sciences (GUMS), where he conducted a cohort study on the effects of neurotrophic factors on cognitive functionings and vascular dementia resulting from an ischemic stroke in the north of Iran. He received his Ph.D degree in Psychology in September 2015 from the University of Isfahan and joined immediately to the Neuroscience Research Center in the GUMS to continue his investigations. He is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology at the University of Guilan. In addition, he intends to conduct extensive surveys on neurocognitive rehabilitation in elderly population and patients with dementia (or neurocognitive disorder).
