Biography
As a health economist with a strong educational background, I possess a diverse skill set and extensive experience in the healthcare industry. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, which laid the foundation for my understanding of healthcare systems and organizations. I then pursued advanced education, earning a Master's of Science degree in Health Economics from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and later a PhD in Health Economics. These programs enhanced my expertise in conducting economic evaluations, critical appraisals, systematic literature reviews, and implementing healthcare interventions.
My professional experience as a health economist includes working with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK as part of the External Assessment Group (EAG) team at the University of Warwick. In this role, I focused on technology assessment reviews and conducted systematic reviews to inform healthcare policy.
In my previous positions, I have been involved in various projects and initiatives, including researching hospital productivity in Iran and serving as the director of the Research and Development Centre for Policy at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.
One notable role was serving as the Chief Executive Officer at a large, 1000-bed hospital. This experience gave me valuable insights into the operational aspects of healthcare organizations and the importance of effective management in improving patient outcomes.
Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated my dedication to advancing the field of health economics and contributing to the development of effective, evidence-based healthcare policies. I am eager to apply my expertise and leadership skills to future opportunities and continue making a positive impact on healthcare systems and organizations worldwide.
