Miguel Cardina obtained his PhD on Contemporary History and is a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Social Studies. He is currently Vice-President of CES Scientific Board and was co-coordinator of the Research Group on Humanities, Migration and Peace Studies (NHUMEP) from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, he won a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) to coordinate the project «CROME - Crossed Memories, Politics of Silence. The Colonial-Liberation Wars in Postcolonial Times». He is the author or co-author of several books, book chapters or papers on colonialism, anti-colonialism and the colonial wars; political ideologies in the sixties and seventies; and the dynamics between history and memory.
