Biography
Tiago Correia (Habitation in International Health, 2023; PhD in Sociology, 2011; Post-doctoral researcher in Public Health at University of Montreal and McGill University, 2012) is an Associate Professor at Global Public Health Unit and a Senior Researcher at Global Health and Tropical Medicine of the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine – NOVA University of Lisbon (IHMT-UNL).
His teaching and research interests build around the link between health policies, systems, services and professions; medical epistemology and social theory applied to health. On these topics he has published extensively, coordinated undergraduate and graduate courses, participated (as leader and member) in international and Portuguese-funded projects and research networks, organized scientific events, promoted outreach activities for broader audiences, and provided specialized consultancy for Portuguese and International institutions.
Since 2020 he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Health Planning and Management.
