Ali Mobasheri is Professor of Musculoskeletal Physiology in the Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences at the University of Surrey. He is also a Project Leader and Senior Research Scientist (Projekto Vadovas, Vyriausiasis Mokslo Darbuotojas) at the State Research Institute Centre for Innovative Medicine in Vilnius, Lithuania. Previously he was Associate Dean (Research & Enterprise) and Head of the Department of Veterinary Preclinical Sciences at the University of Surrey. He was also Associate Professor and Reader in Comparative Physiology at the University of Nottingham and Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. He served as a Visiting Adjunct Professor in the Distinguished Scientist Program of the Center of Excellence in Genomic Medicine Research, King AbdulAziz University, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2003-2016. Ali successfully coordinated the EU FP7 funded D-BOARD consortium and is a member of the EU IMI funded APPROACH consortium.
