Biography

My research focuses on the health promotion and prevention of mental illness in expectant and new parents and the supports they need and receive from reproductive and child health professionals, such as midwives and nurses. I evaluate community-based interventions on expectant and new parents, including the father/non-birthing parent visit when the infant is 3-5 months old. Most research takes place in a Swedish context, although I work on quality improvement and capacity building within several sub-Saharan African countries regarding midwifery-led care.
