Marilia Y. Antúnez is a Life & Allied Health Sciences Librarian with The University of Akron. With strong experience as a health sciences, science, and social sciences librarian, Ms. Antúnez earned a M.A. in Gerontology from Appalachian State University in North Carolina and an M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa. In addition to her professional work as a reference librarian, she has also written several articles and book reviews, co-authored two Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grants on the history of nursing in North Carolina, and is a Senior Member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals.
