Art History Lecturer - Profesora Ayudante Doctora
Maria Teresa works at the Art History Department of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain). She completed her PhD thesis at the Warburg Institute (2020). Later on, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Durham University (2020-2021) and Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (2022). Her research and publications focus on how artistic and cultural patronage was used to construct historical figures. She also studies how medieval artworks were reinterpreted and used in the Early Modern Period.
Over the past few years, she has collaborated with several research projects:
