I am the Director of Networked Sensing and Control (NSC) laboratory at Deakin university.
I received First Class Honours in B.E(Elec) Engineering and B.Sc(math) in 1996 from the University of Western Australia(UWA). My PhD in Missile Guidance and Control systems design was received from the same university in 2001. I was a recipient of Merit Scholarship Scheme(MSS) and Overseas Post graduate Research Scholarship by the government of Australia for my undergraduate and post graduate education respectively.
I have been a research fellow at the Oxford University, UK, in The University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney and a consultant to the Weapons systems division of the Defence Science and Technology Organization(DSTO) Australia, before joining Deakin University in March 2003. He have also been a visiting Associate Professor at Yale University, USA in 2009 and Kings College, London in 2012.
I have received numerous research grants including ARC(Discovery, LIEF), DSTO in excess of 1.8M and published in numerous international journals and conferences in areas including, navigation, vision based guidance, swarm robotics, control applications in manufacturing and mobile computing/networking. I am a reviewer for several international journals(IEEE Transactions) and conferences.
