Biography
Sandra de Jesus Barradas Travassos is a researcher with 12 years of experience at the Research Center of Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional. Her professional journey involves managing various research projects in the areas of cast iron, heat treatment, microstructural characterization, and galvanized steel, highlighting her leadership skills and significant contribution to innovation in the industry.
During her doctoral studies, she focused her research on Corten steel, investigating the evolution of the patina layer on ASTM A242 weathering steel sheets and artworks exposed to the atmosphere of São Paulo. Currently, her academic focus is centered on corrosion, with special attention to the conversion treatment of zinc-coated steel surfaces. Additionally, she expresses interest in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data visualization, showcasing an interdisciplinary approach in her investigations.
She is the author of numerous technical articles published in journals and presented at conferences and seminars. Sandra has also produced research reports, manuals, and product catalogs.
