Biography
Almarely is currently a fourth year Clinical Psychology PhD candidate who strives to be an excellent representation of Puerto Rican women in the area of neuroscience and psychology. She is very passionate about inclusivity, anti-racism, and mentorship. As part of her research work, she is currently working on learning more about how visual arts can facilitate the measurement of sustained attention in young adults with ADHD. Additionally, she's exploring the relationship of how adverse childhood experiences, resilience and social support impact mental health outcomes such as depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder in Puerto Rican adults.
She also has experience as a Clinical Psychology practitioner. She has given therapy and performed diverse psychological evaluations to children, adolescents and adults.
