Biography
Bin has extensive expertise in materials science & engineering, chemical engineering, and computer science. He specializes in batteries, fuel cell & electrolyzer, and device physics from materials to systems. He combines advanced characterization techniques with computations (DFT, phase filed, and machine learning) to understand the function mechanisms of materials at levels of electrons, ions, molecules, particles and devices using a bottom-up approach; and apply these fundamental understandings to establish unified, predictive framework for the materials selection and system integration. He has over 60 publications and has filled 6 US provisional patents in the fields.
