Biography

Paivo Kinnunen is a full professor in the University of Oulu. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a PhD in Applied Physics in 2011. After graduation he worked in a start-up company, Life Magnetics (Ann Arbor, USA) as a co-inventor and lead scientist. He has published 120 peer-reviewed publications with H-index of 35, with current research focus on carbon neutral and carbon capturing materials. He has several patented innovations, two of which has led to venture-funded spinoff companies.
