Biography
Assistant Professor of Animal Behavior at the Department of Biology, Macalester College. I study proximate patterns of animal sociality and their ultimate causes. For my PhD, I studied social correlates and reproductive strategies of Asiatic lions. Subsequently (and currently), one of my research program's main themes is to understand lion sociality across multiple populations in an eco-evo context. My research interests largely involve understanding predator-prey dynamics, group living and its causes, foraging ecology and animal physiology, and human-carnivore interactions.
