Personal information

Biography

Dr. Raffaele Vinai graduated from the Turin Institute for Technology (Italy) in 2002 and obtained a PhD in Environmental Geo-Engineering in 2006 from the same institution. He worked in Academia in Italy and Burkina Faso, then he joined the Queen's University Belfast in 2013 as research fellow, working on several projects on the development of sustainable building materials made with recycled waste materials. He joined the University of Exeter in 2018, where he is currently Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering. His research interests are on sustainable construction materials, waste recycling, geo-materials.
