My research career has been centred on finding alternative engineering solutions to long standing research questions leading to practicable technologies for industrial application. Currently I am working on novel digital cancer pathology methodologies and predictive modelling. My career has previously involved:
• finding means of rapidly cooling meat without excessive loss of moisture,
• automating fresh and processed meat grading protocols and rulebooks by image processing
• combining environmental and other data wireless sensor network sources to predict crop yields of vegetation and livestock.
I have published a total of 24 publications in high impact journals of which 22 were as first author . My journal papers have been cited a total of 186 times.
