Biography

Ph.D. in Sciences from the Psychiatric Nursing Program at the Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing - University of São Paulo (CNPq scholarship) in 2018. From April to August 2017, completed a doctoral internship (PDSE-Capes program) at the Université François Rabelais de Tours, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sébastien Pesce. Has a Bachelor's and Teaching Diploma in Nursing from the Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing - University of São Paulo (2008-2013). Participated in an academic exchange program at the University of Alberta (Canada) from October 2012 to March 2013, engaging in a research internship program under the guidance of Professor Dr. Sylvia Sophia Barton. Also, completed an academic exchange program at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from January to June 2011, taking nursing courses under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ezperanza Vélez and undertaking internships in emergency and internal medicine at the University Hospital of La Fundación Jiménez Díaz. Co-founded the FREIRE-Canada GROUP at the Faculty of Nursing/University of Alberta, alongside Professors Anna Santos Salas and Brenda Cameron, both faculty members of the said institution. Completed a facilitator training course in Permanent Health Education (2014-2015). Serves as an advisory member of the Undergraduate Nursing Education Advisory Committee and the Technical Nursing Education Advisory Committee at Aben-SP and Aben-MG; and an Advisory Member of the Permanent Committee for Professional Technical Education in Nursing at ABEN Nacional. Has been participating in the National Forum of Nursing Degree Programs since 2014. Held the position of Adjunct Professor in the Department of Applied Nursing at the College of Nursing, Federal University of Minas Gerais from April 2022 to September 2023. Currently, holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatric Nursing and Human Sciences at the College of Nursing in Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo, specializing in professional technical education at the medium level in nursing.
