Biography
Professor Tak-Wah Wong, MD, PhD, also known as Te-Hwa Wang (Ken), is affiliated with the Department of Dermatology, the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the Center of Applied Nanomedicine at the National Cheng Kung University Medical Center in Taiwan. His primary research interests encompass photobiology, oncology, and wound healing. His paper, published in the Journal of Controlled Release in 2006, has consistently ranked among the "Top 10 Articles in the Same Domain" since its release. He is a pioneer in using photodynamic therapy (PDT) to treat skin cancers in Taiwan. Over time, PDT research has expanded to cover infectious diseases and wound healing. Collaborating with colleagues at the center, he is currently employing novel immunotherapy approaches in a "humanized mice" model to tackle challenging cancers, yielding promising results.
