Biography
Current Research Interest:
Focuses on aspects of food processing, new product development (HALAL), sensory evaluation and cocoa processing. The research encompasses producing new product with functional ingredient, assist in industrial application, development of food ingredient from food by-product, cocoa and chocolate processing. She was a researcher at Biotechnology Division, Malaysia Cocoa Board; handling patented prebiotic chocolates (pure milk and dark chocolate) at pilot plant scale (pre-commercialization) funded by Technofund (MOSTI). She also has experiences in food and beverage industries under the R&D Department at Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings Sdn. Bhd formerly known as CPC/ AJI Sdn. Bhd., Kuala Lumpur. Current research topics include:
1. Effects of processing on metabolites, quality and toxicity of selected herbal leaf and it's infusion
2.Characterization and Tocopherols Bioavailability of Chia Seed Oil Extract from Green Technology Supercritical Fluid
3. Enhance functional and bioactive compound of selected local plantain banana peels (Musa paradisiaica L.) extracted using high hydrostatic pressure.
4. Effects of Roasting Conditions on the Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH4) content in Cocoa Bean
