Biography
Hanyeh Ghaffari is an Iranian conservationist and an assistant professor of biodiversity management and conservation in the faculty of natural resources at the University of Kurdistan. She has been one of the only two members of the IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group from Iran since 2004. Her professional interests encompass the fields of ecology, conservation of amphibians, and reptiles with an emphasis on pond turtles and tortoises. She and her students' researches including habitat preferences, home range, population and nesting ecology, and feeding habits of pond turtles and tortoises in Iran.
