Biography
Carol Kharbosh is an academic and architect, currently serving as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Salahaddin University-Erbil since 2022.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2017, graduating as the top-ranked student with the highest GPA in his class. Pursuing further academic excellence, he obtained his Master of Science in Architecture from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Hungary in 2020.
His academic journey began even before his current lecturing role. He conducted a specialized course in engineering software at Ferxwaz Institute and has worked as an assistant lecturer at Tishk International University since 2021. Additionally, he has actively participated in numerous workshops and academic seminars, including the ICAD conference and discussions on housing needs in Erbil. His contributions to architectural education extend to serving as a jury member in various competitions, such as the NICE competition at Tishk International University.
Beyond academia, Carol has accumulated extensive professional experience as an architectural designer and site engineer, collaborating with renowned companies such as Amirco, Black Eagle, and Blue Valley.
Throughout his career, Carol has received numerous awards and recognitions for his outstanding contributions to architecture. He was the winner of the UNDP Award for Best Children's Playground Design, and secured second place in the Planner Organization’s Award for Best Engineering Innovative Ideas. Additionally, he was among the top five winners in the Kurdish Mosque Architectural Competition, organized by the Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs, further showcasing his innovative approach and dedication to the field.
