Biography

Although my scientific career has been relatively multidisciplinary, Genetics has been always a common topic in my research. My PhD was focused on the study of the genetics of gonad development from an evolutionary point of view. During my first postdoc in Aberdeen (UK), I studied the molecular mechanisms underlying eye development and their evolutionary implications. Currently, I am working on the genetic component of human complex diseases in the University of Granada (Spain), with a special focus on autoimmnune conditions and male infertility.
