Biography

I have taken a wide range of courses including fundamental physics, basic electronics, imaging processing, and biophysics while changing my major from Physics, to Electrical Engineering, then to Bioengineering. My background helps me to comprehend the sophisticated nature of functional MRI (fMRI) as well as communicate with researchers in other fields effectively. Therefore, besides conducting my research on cortical hemodynamic regulation and understanding how does cortical ischemia stroke perturb its function, I simultaneously worked on three other projects including visual fMRI, auditory fMRI, and resting-state in awake marmosets cooperating with other scientists. To carry out these projects, I was actively involved in coil building, sequence programming, stimuli designing, data acquisition, image reconstruction, signal processing, statistical analysis, and data visualization with other scientists. In summary, I am an MR physicist that also has good knowledge in engineering of the MRI and biophysics of the fMRI.
