Biography
Fernando Cássio is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education at the University of São Paulo. He has a bachelor's degree in Molecular Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2006), as well as a bachelor's degree (2006) and degree (2011) in Chemistry and a doctorate in Sciences (Chemistry) from the University of São Paulo (2011), as well as experience in school teaching. He was a professor at the Federal University of ABC (2014-2023). Participates in the Public School and University Network (REPU) and in the Board of the National Campaign for the Right to Education. He is a member of the editorial committees of the magazines "Educação e Pesquisa" and "Educação Temática Digital," and regularly collaborates with various press outlets. His main research interests include educational policies, educational inequalities, and the Right to Education, emphasizing curriculum policies, evidence-based education, managerialism, and financialization of schooling.
