Biography

Monica De Martino is currently a Researcher at the Istituto per la Matematica Applicata of the Italian National Council of Research, Genova, Italy, where she started to work in 1992. She holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Genova. She started her research activity on image processing and surface modelling as guest researcher for almost one year at I.N.R.I.A, Sophia Antipolis, France. Then she has been working at IMATI-GE on spatial data processing and analysis and their application. Successively she extended her research interest to the Knowledge Management field and Semantic Web with application to Cultural Heritage, Historical Business Archive, Geographic Information System, Spatial Data Infrastructure and Environment: her specific scientific expertise includes Metadata Management, Semantics Analysis, Open and Linked Data, Data/metadata quality. She has been involved in many International Projects as scientific responsible for CNR-IMATI. She co-authored many scientific publications on journals, conferences proceedings and reports.
