Research Activities
Author of more than 196 peer reviewed scientific publications on ISI international journals (H-index 2021 (Google Scholar): 41, >5600 citations) ; of several articles in scientific books and of more than 150 communications (both oral communications and posters) in Italian and International Congresses. The scientific interests have been mainly focused on molecular mechanisms of metabolic control in eukaryotes and prokaryotes and in their biotechnological applications. Reviewer of several scientific journals. Recipient of Grants from European Commission, Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR) and Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), Italian National Research Council (CNR), Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and the Environment (ENEA).

Evaluation Activities
Since 2005 Scientific Evaluator for EU and Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, of Ministry of Economic Development and of Italian Agencies for Development (Calabria, Puglia, Lazio, Liguria, Marche, Piemonte, Veneto, Sardegna) for which R&D projects from Resarch Institutions and Industrial Companies have been evaluated
