Biography
MENAOUAR BERREHIL EL KATTEL was born in Terga, Ain Temouchent, Algeria, in 1978. He earned his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Djillali Liabes University, Sidi Bel Abbes, Algeria, in 2003. Pursuing academic excellence, he obtained a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB), Brazil, in 2013, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC), Brazil, in 2018. He further solidified his expertise with two postdoctoral degrees: one from UDESC and another from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He currently serves as a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and is an active Researcher in Power Electronics at UFMG. His research focuses on DC-DC converters, AC-DC converters, soft switching techniques, and power electronics applications in electric vehicles. Additionally, He is also involved in developing innovative converter topologies for DC-DC and DC-AC systems applied to green hydrogen electrolyzers, contributing to advancements in sustainable energy solutions.
