Biography

Professor of Geochemistry (Ph.D.) Salih M. Awadh earned his B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Baghdad (1986), M.Sc. in Geochemistry (1992), Ph.D. in Geochemistry and Economic Geology (2006), and post-doctoral from Warsaw University, Poland (2014). He has extensive knowledge and a keen interest in Medical Geology, Petroleum Geochemistry, Ore Geology, Cosmic Geochemistry, Solar System and Climatology, and Environmental Studies. He is an academician who works for the Geology Department, College of Science, the University of Baghdad. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Iraqi Geological Journal (Scopus) Since 2015. More than 30 theses (MSc and Ph.D.) have been supervised under his guidance. He has published over 110 full-length papers in reputable international journals and ten scholarly books.
