Biography

Hossein Kabir is a PhD candidate in Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he has been conducting research since 2020 under the guidance of Assistant Prof. Nishant Garg. His work focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence and computer vision to automate and enhance the durability assessment of cementitious materials. Kabir earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Sharif University of Technology in 2016 and his master’s degree from the University of Toronto in 2019, specializing in construction materials.
