Biography

Dr. Gemeng Liang is an Australian Research Council (ARC) DECRA Fellow at the University of Adelaide, Australia. He earned his PhD from the University of Wollongong in 2021. His research focuses on optimizing the mechanistic behavior of high-energy-density cathode materials, such as Li-rich layered cathodes, Ni-rich layered oxides, and high-voltage spinel oxides, to enhance battery performance. Dr. Liang is an expert in characterizing the atomic-level structure and dynamics of electrode materials using advanced in operando neutron and synchrotron-based techniques.
