Biography
I am a PhD scholar at Institute of Environment & Sustainable Development, Banaras Hindu University since 2019. My research interest are to ascertain the "Impact of Climate Change on Heat Waves over India" . I received M. Sc. (Tech.) in Environmental Science & Technology and MPhil. in Environment and Sustainable Development from Banaras Hindu University in India. My work involves evaluation of Regional Climate Model for simulation of heat wave over meteorological subdivisions as well as future heat wave projections under different warming scenarios. I am also working for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk reduction and recently was selected for UNITAR Hiroshima Women’s Leadership in Tsunami-based Disaster Risk Reduction Training Programme for World Tsunami Awareness Day 2022 Phase Ⅱ supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Japan and organized by United Nations Institute of Training and Research in Apia, Samoa. My research goals are building climate change and disaster risk resilience at a regional level with a particular emphasis on human health. Along with the research I am an active Gender Equality advocate and actively take part in women empowerment and leadership initiatives. My work is directly related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals 13 (Climate Action), 3 (Good Health and Well-being),11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and 5 (Gender Equality) .
So far, I have published five research articles, one review article, three book chapters and one news & views article in peer reviewed international journals the references to which are given below. I am looking forward to opportunities of learning and collaborating with researchers of similar interests.
