Biography

Dr Lis D. Hammond's research focus is on psychosocial adjustment to adverse life events (long-term conditions and other life events that prevent the person from living their life as before). This interest stems from her work in brain injury rehabilitation and later pain management. Dr Hammond moved from working as an applied clinician to work in higher education in order to strengthen her research into this area.
Dr Hammond is Chair and Founding Member of the International Network of Research into Psychosocial Adjustment and Rehabilitation (INRePAR).
