Biography

Laura is a clinical specialist physiotherapist in heart and lung transplantation at Wythenshawe Hospital in South Manchester. She works with patients with chronic end-stage heart and lung disease and through their pre and post-transplant critical care and ongoing rehabilitation journey. She has a special interest in ICU rehabilitation and mechanical circulatory support and is part of the UK VAD/transplant physiotherapy network groups. She was awarded an MSc in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy by Manchester Metropolitan University in 2015. She is currently completing an NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (Greater Manchester) predoctoral fellowship investigating frailty prior to lung transplantation.
