Summary of Experience
Dr. Ismail Noriey is an Assistant Professor who joined the Department of English at the University of Human Development in 2019. He has obtained all his academic certificates in the UK. First Class A level in ICT at the Matthew Boulton College. He gained a B.Sc. degree (2009) in Computer-Aided Engineering Design, a PGCE degree (2010) in Teaching and Learning, and an MA in Educational Leadership (2012) at the University of Wolverhampton. Furthermore, he did his doctoral research (2016) in the field of “Leadership in Education” at the University of Hertfordshire. Upon achievement of his doctoral studies, he further merged himself into research and academic endeavours. Additionally, he organized workshops and symposiums between UK institutions and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) regarding education entrepreneurship leadership.
Dr. Noriey teaches diverse university-level courses, including Academic Debate, Language and Culture, Professional Speaking Skills, Communicative English and Personal Professional Development (PPT). His commitment to educational leadership extends beyond teaching; he has published eight papers and one book in the field. His previous experience includes significant contributions to research at the London Humanities College and further education in the UK. He is interested in various topics, including educational leadership, teaching in higher education, pedagogy and education, and motivational elements in educational leadership. He has received several important recognitions for his research career, including the Outstanding Reviewer of the Year 2023-2024 from IIARI.
