Paulo Lopes is Assistant Professor and Director of the Masters Programme in Applied Neuropsychology of the School of Psychology and Life Sciences, as well as Invited Researcher at CENC - Centro de Electroencefalografia e Neurofisiologia Clínica (2014) and Researcher at COPELABS. He holds a degree in Psychology (2002, University Lusófona) and PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology (2011, Salamanca University). Paulo has worked on psychological support to drug addicts since 1996, with motivation treatment since 2002, and neuro-cognitive stimulation and rehabilitation with digital technology (pc’s, tablets, smart phones) since 2010. He has a personal focus on psychometric work to produce, adapt, and assess psychological and neuropsychological tests with traditional and Rasch model analyses. In his future research, he will broaden his focus to other addictive behaviours (e.g. alcoholism, tobbaco).
