Biography

Florian Schoenhoff is an associate professor of surgery and consultant cardiac surgeon in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at the University Hospital Bern, Switzerland. He received his MD from the University of Heidelberg, Germany and trained in cardiac surgery in Bern with a special focus on diseases of the thoracic aorta. He was as a research fellow at Johns Hopkins University, USA, working on biomarkers in patients with connective tissue disorders. Dr. Schoenhoff is currently head of the aortic surgery program in Bern where he is taking care of patients with complex aortic disease. He is the Associate Editor (Open Aortic) of the EJCTS, chair of the Vascular Domain of EACTS and member of the EACTS council.
